Howdy Howdy,
My old high school biology teacher and now a good friend of mine is participating in a really great cause. He is an amateur photographer who is taking photos for a mother and her children to remember these last life moments together. The mother suffers from lung cancer and all of the children a still pretty young. He just wants them to have lots of family memories. Any amount helps, Dries is taking photos in his spare time and is using his own money to print and frame everything for this family. But of course, he is working on a teacher’s salary and has a family of his own to support so he is asking for donations from lovely people. :D If you can donate that is fine, but I think this is a great way to preserve long lasting memories, so maybe you can take pictures for people you know with a similar story. Dries definitely is continuing this for others after this project.
You can donate here: http://www.gofundme.com/FawnsLegacy
You can read his reasons why below
I am raising money for Fawn Lee, a 35 year old mother of three who won’t live long enough to see her children grow up. You can google her story in the San Jose Mercury News. She has late stage lung cancer (non-smoker) that’s already spread to her bones. Her beautiful children are 5, 3 and 2 (Ethan, Ellen and Emma).
The money collected will go towards documenting her life for her children to remember her by. I’ve been doing this for free, and will continue to donate my own time and photo processing skills, so the money goes towards prints for their family, framed prints and photobooks. Framed prints are in the $25 range, photobooks are between $50 and $100. My time and editing is, and always will be, free.
Supporters can also help by donating directly to her also. (http://fawnlee.blogspot.com/) has donation information.
